LAKAPATI is a school devoted to the preservation of the ancient practices and rituals for trauma-informed and LGBTQIA+ affirming sacral wellness.

The blood that flows through you each moon cycle is cataclysmic like a rushing river, your rapids are uncontainable, toppling old paradigms.

LAKAPATI
SCHOOL OF HERBALISM & ANCIENT SOMATICS
A 6-month virtual voyage with monthly in-person retreats under the full moon where students will return to the heart of nature.
September 2023 - February 2024
Students will have the opportunity to be initiated into the Ancient Way of Lakapati, where they will be immersed in astrological herbal education, the Japanese healing traditions of Reiki (Usui lineage), Kundalini yoga, and breathwork techniques to uncover how planetary archetypes and ancient somatic practices connect to nature as well as the organs, systems, and energy centers of the body. The curriculum includes social justice & DEI and restorative sexual education with the exploration of topics such as shame, pleasure, boundaries, consent, and vocal reclamation are woven into each month marked as (*).
Weekly private ceremonies held every Saturday from 9am to12pm (virtual) with monthly full moon retreats (in-person gatherings) where Grace will guide students into the Heart of Nature, traveling to the most magical & secret nooks of Southern California.
Scholarship opportunities are also available for our Trans & BIPOC community relatives in need of financial assistance. Please specify your financial needs upon enrollment.

Your Facilitator
Grace Marie Abiera (she/they) is an herbalist, Reiki Master Mentor, Kundalini + Breathwork Facilitator, Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), and Birth Doula with over half a decade of experience offering somatic healing practices both in studio and to their local community.
They approach healing through the Wise Womxn Tradition and weaves the teachings passed down to them from their Filipino immigrant upbringing to help humans return to the Earthβs natural laws governing the mind and systems of the body, both energetically and physically. They recognize the path of healing is held in the loving embrace of community and are committed to walking the path of justice and remembrance alongside plants and other humans.
Grace offers specialized support to those who are moving through experiences related to sexual trauma, birth trauma, womb-based imbalances, decolonization & ancestral reclamation, gender identity & expression, chronic stress, and neuro-divergence. Grace has held space throughout Southern California at venues such as music festivals, art museums, and in virtual experiences. They currently create herbal medicine in their apothecary in Shelter Island, San Diego.
